Questions
Are nylon bags durable?
Nylon resists tearing and abrasion well and does not crease. It shows wear as scuffing rather than as patina. Hardware and stitching usually fail before the fabric does, which is where we spend the cost.
Can I use a nylon bag in the rain?
It handles light rain better than leather. We do not rate these as waterproof or water-resistant because we have not tested them to a standard, so treat rain as something the bag tolerates rather than something it is built for.
How do I clean a nylon bag?
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry away from direct heat. Do not machine wash — it stresses the seams and the hardware.
Is nylon lighter than leather?
Yes, significantly at the same size. Both are listed in pounds on the product page so you can compare the exact bags you are choosing between.
