Getting the strap right

Almost everything here is cowhide, most of it top-grain, with smooth, pebbled and nubuck finishes. Hardware comes in gold-tone, silver-tone, antique brass and gunmetal, so the metal can match the jewellery you already wear.

How long should a crossbody strap be?

Long enough for the bag to sit between your waist and hip. Measure from your shoulder, across your body, to where you want the bag, and compare it with the strap drop range on the product page.

Can I wear a crossbody bag on the shoulder?

Yes, if the strap adjusts short enough or detaches. Many bags here have a detachable strap and a top handle as well, which gives you three ways to carry them.

Is top-grain leather real leather?

Yes. Top-grain is the outer layer of the hide with the surface lightly corrected, so it is smoother and more even than full-grain while still being genuine leather.
